PRODUCT LITERATURE

ENVIROTRAN® EF™ ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY TRANSFORMERS

Single-Phase-Envirotran-Pd1Envirotran® EF™ transformers signal the beginning of a new era in liquid-filled transformer design. They are the industry’s first transformers to use an edible vegetable oil-based, high-fire-point dielectric coolant. This technological and environmental design breakthrough is the result of years of research and development in dielectric fluids and their use in transformers. Confirmed with extensive laboratory and field testing, Envirotran transformers are safer for Earth and its inhabitants. They have exceptional performance characteristics, making them ideal for indoor or outdoor installations.

VFI TRANSFORMERSThree-Phase-VFI

The VFI transformer from Cooper Power Systems combines a conventional distribution transformer with the proven Kyle Vacuum Fault Interrupter (VFI). This combination provides both voltage transformation and overcurrent protection in one space saving, money saving package.

The VFI transformer is practical for new or existing distribution systems where conventional transformer/switchgear packages are being considered. It is the superior choice for applications where conventional protective equipment doesn't provide adequate protection or coordination, where aesthetics are particularly important, or where real estate is limited.

It requires as little as half the space of conventional transformer/switchgear packages. And because there is only one piece of equipment to install, the installation is simpler, cheaper, and more aesthetically pleasing. One piece of equipment also means that costs associated with maintenance and operation are reduced.

TYPE: Three-Phase, 50 or 60 Hz, 65°C (55°C/65°C Optional)
with VFI Switch for Transformer or Loop Protection
LIQUID TYPE: Mineral Oil or Envirotemp FR3 Fluid
kVA: 45-7500
PRIMARY VOLTAGE: 2400-34,500 V (150 kV BIL) Delta or Wye Connected
SECONDARY VOLTAGE: 208Y/120 V to 24,940 V
